Short Walks in Aargau is a non-commercial association of hikers promoting easy hikes in the
Zurich and Baden, Aargau areas - lots of picture
galleries, descriptions and maps of easy hikes
with the objective of inspiring others to join in and hike with us.
We are an Interest Group of ZIWA (Zurich Women's Association).

Swiss Alpine Club {SAC}

The club is open to non-residents allowing discounts on SAC publications and lower overnight rates at SAC huts and those of other clubs where a reciprocal agreement exists. FAT & SAT

FAT & SAT outnumber SAC in terms of the huts they control & memberships. Both operate within the Italian speaking Ticino region of Switzerland and can be contacted at the following addresses:

The Swiss Hiking Federation

The Swiss Hiking Federation is the national promoter of walking in Switzerland. It organises local guided walks, publishes a free bi-monthly walking magazine in French & German as well as high quality walking maps. It is also responsible for the construction, maintenence and waymarking of all national routes.
