Marmot Scandium 3 season sleeping bag product review
1230g / 2lbs 14oz
Girth 155cm / 61in Length 1830mm / 6ft 0in
Rated down to -7°C / 20°F we have used this sleeping bag across all temperature ranges and it has performed really well, especially at the lower end of the range. The water resistant shell worked well in heavy.
It is a mummy shaped bag with a full length YKK zip to provide easy access. The toe of the bag has plenty of space to allow your feet to move without restriction and the head of the bag is wide enough to fit the "Fat Man" (our Editor in Chief!).
To retain heat further there is an inner baffle with pull cord and locking toggle to bring the bag closer to the torso.
Below the baffle there is an inner pocket for small valuables / small wallet.
The bag comes with both an air-rated storage sack and a compression bag for back packing.
The Marmot Scandium material is very soft to the touch and the Primaloft ONE insulation very light providing the user with a silky smooth good nights sleep.
Five of the team have tested this bag over the short time we've had it! Very popular and rightly so. Lots of space, light and warm
Cheapest we could find it for sale in the UK £132.99
Please note
The Marmot Scandium Sleeping Bag has been supplied to use free of charge for the purpose of testing and reviewing and will be returned to Marmot on completion.

Therm-a-rest Antares sleeping bag review
750+ Fill down. Sterilized Goose Down (minimum 90%) All new material
Shell and Liner material 100% nylon
-9 C | 15 F 3 season sleeping bag
Pack size 355mm x 160mm dia | 14" x 6.25" dia
Rolled out size 760mm x 1980mm | 30" x 78"
The sleeping bag we've tested is a "Regular" size with a left hand zip.
Of all the sleeping bags we have this is the one in most demand. It is long enough and wide enough to feel comfortable and not trapped like some other bags do and the hood does not become claustrophobic.
The Antares sleeping bag comes with external straps to go around a roll mat to stop the bag rolling off in the night. This does not restrict movement within the bag, it just keeps the roll mat where it should be, between you and the floor of the shelter.
The main zip comes with a baffle to reduce heat loss together with a toggle closure to the neck.
There is an outer zipped pocket close to the hood on the opposite side to the main zip.
Zip opening 150mm | 6". Pocket depth is 120mm | 4.75".
Lots of hanging loops for storing the sleeping bag. It also comes with a storage sack.
Note you should not store sleeping bags compressed.
It does stuff into its stuff sack very easily with not to much effort.
It's just like hibernating it's so warm and cuddly, you don't want to get out of it! We would recommend this sleeping bag for all 3 season use.
This sleeping bag was given to us free of charge for us to test and review
