Merrell Norsehund Omega mid waterproof walking boot review

We have taken these boots to the Lake District in Cumbria and into the Howardian Hills in North Yorkshire.

What better place to test the waterproof nature of the boots than the Lake District so as with all the boots that we have to test we stood in a stream and waited for the water to come in. I'm glad to say that there was no evidence of water inside the boot after a 10 min dunking.

The boots feel comfortable around the upper foot although a little warm. The problem we have is that you can feel every rock through the soul that leads to some discomfort especially walking in the rocky Lake District terrain.

They do have good grip, very good all round toe protection and high ankle support.

The lacing system is very efficient requiring little effort to tighten and tie.

These boots will be ideal to wear when the temperature starts to drop in Autumn keeping your feet nice and warm and dry.
