The new tent range incorporates 16 new models and is the result of a comprehensive development programme at Fjallraven. Every tent in the collection combines the brand’s new strong and lightweight, TripleRip fabric with advanced designs and practical features.

The OutDoor Industry Award is one of the leading international design awards for companies in the outdoor industry. The winners are selected by a panel of independent expert judges and announced at the OutDoor Trade Fair in Friedrichshafen, Germany. This year, an OutDoor Industry Award has been awarded to the Abisko Shape 2, a lightweight tunnel tent with an innovative design that offers outstanding comfort, storage and stability. It is an incredibly flexible tent with exceptional ventilation options, including a new, smart roll-up feature that allows the flysheet to be rolled up at both ends. This new design offers excellent airflow through the tent while still protecting any equipment from sudden rain showers.

Packed full of carefully considered features, the Abisko Shape 2 is constructed from Fjallraven’s new, high-performance TripleRip nylon fabric and has an innovative hybrid flysheet that combines fabrics of different deniers. The more exposed sections of the tent’s fly are reinforced with a stronger version of the TripleRip fabric, while less exposed sections have a lighter fabric. The result is an optimised balance of low weight with high functionality and comfort.

Fjallraven’s new 2016 tent range also sets a new standard for sustainability in outdoor tent manufacturing. Every model in the collection is 100% free from PVC plastics, harmful DWRs and toxic flame-retardants.

The new Spring/Summer 2016 tent collection will be available in stores from March 2016.
