Platypus, the leader in hydration products, today announced the expansion of its hydration pack collection for all-mountain (AM) and cross-country (XC) mountain bike riders.

Platypus Duthie 10 and 15

Platypus knows water isn’t the only thing you’ll need or want on the trail. The Seattle-based brand reintroduced its Duthie™ all-mountain hydration packs, Tokul™ cross-country hydration packs, and women’s-specific Siouxon™ and B-Line™ hydration packs to fit everything you need comfortably and efficiently on your back.

Platpus Tokul XC 5.0 and 8.0
Platypus’ all-mountain hydration pack series offers ample internal storage, plus external carry options for body armor and full-face helmets for big days on the trail. The Duthie A.M. 10.0, is a quintessential pack that offers smart storage and enough capacity for half a day on the mountain. A carry system for a full-face helmet and armor is handy for ascending, while the FloatAir™ suspended mesh back panel keeps you cool in heavy-pedal situations.

Platypus Siouxon and B-Line

The Duthie A.M. 15.0, adds five more liters of space for full days on the mountain. Cavernous gear capacity, smart storage options, and a carry system for a full-face helmet and pads keep everything organized for all-day, all-mountain rides, including body armor, extra tires, and shock pumps. Each pack is equipped with a stow-away rain cover.

Platypus’ cross-country hydration packs meet minimalist riders’ demands for lightweight solutions to carrying just the essentials. The Tokul X.C. 5.0, is the definition of fast and light. It attacks anything from an after-work session to a half-day mission with smart storage features, and enough room for riding essentials, a light layer, and a snack.

The Tokul X.C. 8.0, the ultimate in versatility, boasts a combination of capacity, intuitive storage, and a low-profile silhouette for quick riding over miles and miles of trail. Both feature Platypus’ new RidgeAir™ back panel that combines ridged foam and mesh for excellent ventilation. The bag’s new fold-open design organizes minimalist gear and tools, allowing for quick fixes and tune-ups.

The upgraded women’s-specific Siouxon and B-Line packs are the result of a multi-year effort to refine fit characteristics to address common fit issues. The ergonomic pack shape and shoulder straps suit a woman’s body perfectly, sternum straps are highly adjustable so women of all shapes and sizes can place them where they like, and shoulder straps are made with fabric-wrapped compressible foam for a chafe-free fit. With women’s-specific sizing and shape, our Siouxon (Sue-sonn) pack, is made for ripping on all-mountain trails, all day long, in total comfort. It features unique storage solutions for riding essentials and the best hydration integration in the game.

If hammering mile after mile of cross-country single track is your poison, the low profile and women’s-specific B-Line, is your ticket to ride. It has smart storage and enough space for all-day riding essentials, and a RidgeAir™ back panel to keep you cool along the trail.

All models include the low-profile Big Zip™ LP 3 L for taste-free, BPA-free hydration. The premium reservoir comes with an easy-to-clean wide-mouth opening and a low-profile design that fits the back panel of any pack. Silver-ion antimicrobial keeps it fresh.

Platypus’s newly updated A.M. series, X.C. series, and women’s-specific Siouxon and B-Line packs will debut at OutDoor Friedrichshafen July 15th-18th and will be available in selected stores starting January 2016.
